I will be starting at Sage in Kingman Arizona next week. Sage is ranked one of the top schools in the country. You cant go wrong by going there. They are also one of the only schools that has one on one training in the truck.
The cost for the school in Kingman is $4400 which includes everything. No other out of pocket expenses, and you get all of your endorsements.

I was just there fri it's 4900 plus lodging if you need that...

So in effect, I will be riding with a "trainer," I will get my schooling paid off, and I will be working at the same place I have been for the last seven years. It looks like a win-win.





So I was looking around, and found Sage. Are they any good?

Are they PTDI certified? I am asking this because, if I do plan on going into trucking at some point in time, and I want to make sure I have the full range of opportunities.

Also anyone know pricing?

PTDI certification is a pile of crap. The certification will not give you any more opportunities than a credible and well organized school without it.

I'm signed up to start with Sage as soon as I can get financing (est. Jan 2011). The Sage I am "with" is located at Mohawk Valley Community College in Rome, NY. I will be commuting to and from every day. I was quoted $4917.00 which is ALL INCLUSIVE of the requirements from classes right through and including testing, licensing, and the whole nine yards. Grant programs are also available through the Dept of Labor (something about a "599") and VESID (Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities). Wells Fargo and Sallie Mae are listed as places to get career training loans. Repayment terms are 3 to 5 years, deferred payments up to 3 months post graduation, disbursement date is 1st day of class. We have our mortgage with Wells Fargo and they have been AWESOME! My husbands prior school loan is with Sallie Mae and they are also a great company to do business with. Hope this helps for anybody who needed that information.

Just talked to an instructor who works at the Sage C1 in San Antone. Anyone have good/bad experiences? New to the industry (duh) and trying to get a full understanding. They say one on one is better. Has anyone gone thru their program and gotten hired by a good co?
