I went through NETTS for my CDL,Of course that was when they were in Massachusetts, Over 13 years ago.
Back then they didn't have the best of reputations. But you make with it what you put into it.
Good luck

I wish could take coursework on weekends. It will take me that long at best just to save up to get ready, even with FL financial aid (60% of most states, but welcomed regardless).

NEETS

You may want to avoid NETTS at this time. They were hammered pretty hard recently in civil court re: false assurance for employment upon gradudation, misrepresentation of curriculum, etc. In MA, Parker Professional Driving School of Avon has a CL A program running M-F or weekends. 5 Large is the fee. Another option would be Northeast Technical Institute. The are homed out of Scarborough, Maine but have recently contracted with a CDL A school in Methuen, MA. The course is 200 hrs long but I don't know if they have a weekend schedule, and I do not know the cost. The school has an extensive database for potential employers. They will be my choice when I am ready to commit. BOL!

You are correct, I've seen them at the track myself. I hope he comes back to this thread, I found out some info. for him:

The RMV offices are out of CDL manuals. The printer is supposed to be having them shipped sometime in the middle of the month. Something aout the state paying the vendor......you know how it goes.

Also, CDL conversions from other states is inconsistent as the RMV has only one person authorizing conversions. There is no set policy, so therfore, he may or may not force you to take another CDL written exam and/or skills test, even if you have a letter from your employer. This makes the choice of in-state vs out-of-state company schooling a difficult choice.
