Millis Transfer in Burleson, TX
All you need is $500.00
Millis drivers, after all training is complete & they go solo, average $50K per year.
Another in Texarkana is Southern Refrigerated Transport. Don't think you need any cash. They pay for CDL school at University of Arkansas Community College and lodging is provided at Clarion Hotel.
Biggest difference between the two is Millis runs Eastern half of USA and Southern runs coast to coast.Puppage Thanks this. -
Millis would be my 1st choice. Weatherford College has approved school. Long drive though. Check with WorkForce in Dallas area. Probably pay for you to train somewhere.

You could with road master drivers school down in San Antonio. For what you pay or post 9/1, give bill, finance they put up for the week and send you home on the weekends. They've got an excellent program, the instructor or trainers all have at least a million plus miles, they're professional about training and they have job placement while you're in school and once you graduate. They also have a study guide that helps you get your Hazmat endorsement. I got my CDL from there and was easy to do far as the job placement went they helped me submit all the applications. Talk the recruiters of other companies granted I didn't go with the ones that I filled apps for, but it helped me decide what I wanted to do and who I was going to work for. Which was Melton is where I am headed for on September 8th for orientation.

Thank you all for your valuable information. I would like to pick your brains a little more, I am presently based near Atlanta, GA. I am presently looking to pursue a Schneider financed CDL program for their bulk chemical hauling division. I think they would be calling me tomorrow for the phone interview. Is this something I should seriously consider going after. The lady told me they are teamed up with America's driving force academy in Conely GA for this program. Is this schoold any good or the schools in Texas are better?
Chinatown Thanks this. -

Go for it! If they recommend the school and are paying for it, then it's good.
Schneider Bulk is a good place to start with good paychecks. -
Is knight transportation any good they are offering me a training position provided that I pass the written portion of the CDL. I have moved to Texas yesterday and cant seem to get hold of Schinder people. Their training(Knights) is in Mississippi and is supposed to be a debt free company. Does it live up to its claims? Thank you again for all your help!
