I had my CDL years ago and let it go... Now I am researching schools to get it back... Looks like IITR, Elite and Western Pacific are the local players... any advice? I see that IITR is accredited which is appealing but would still like to hear what people have to say.
Thanks!
Looking for school recommendations in Portland, OR area??

Im starting a school in South Bend, IN. Truck Drivers Institute, it's a really great school, no contact, easy to get financial assistance, not too bad money wise up front about $100 for drug screen, 16 for permit, and $30 for license, you do the job interviews their during school, pick from about 25 different companies

Didn't see that you wanted it local my bad good luck bro

Go with Elite,
great instruction. -
Vengeful staff with lousy job placement. -

Sure, the pitch is during the school, but once you're out of the school, they don't do crap for job placement.

I have decided to go with IITR... I will let everybody know how it goes!

IITR is a joke. I would not recommend ths school to anybody. They make you piss on the street. The classroom instructor is functionally illiterate and abusive along with Ron the drive instructor. The equipment is crap. If you want to pay a lot to be abused for a month, go for it. No water fountain or hot water or cups to eve get a drink. It is the bare necessities and they do not care about the students. Very little instruction.
If you do go there, be sure and study before you get there or plan to fail. Do not take their loan sponsored by the trucking industry since it is a trap. They sell the loan and the interest rate goes from 10% to 18% from what I hear. Then the truck companies pay you 150.00 a month to pay it off and you just became a slave.
