How much the axle weighs or how much it can carry?
-
Check on the ID decal in the driver's door frame.
-
Sorry I meant how much they can carry. . Im going to be selling the truck and would like to be able to answer that question.. The sticker on the driver door jamb has peeled off, so nothing there..
-
Well, legal weight is 34,000lbs or 17 ton per axle, so the truck should be designed to at least carry that.
-
Rear drive tandems are rated at 40,000-20,000 per axle,as single axle limits are 20,000,except for steer axles
-
most regular class 8 trucks are rated for 40 to 42k per axle -
Yeah, most of the ads I'm finding rate the rear tandems at 40k.
-
Ok thanks. its a old werner company truck..1986 pete 359, I guess there is nothing on the tag then other than the ratio
-
that vintage is probably 38000 or 40000, if memory serves 40 rockwells have a oil filter on the power divided axle
