We found a better oil than WD-40, its called Zoom Spout, its a mineral oil and you can find it at wally world in the swamp cooler section. It stays slippery, easy clean up with window cleaner and isnt a harsh oil that hardens the window seal.
SL3406 Thanks this. -
According to Peterbilt Parts Insider, both the glass and install are on sale during the month of March, I had both mine replaced back in the fall at West Texas Pete, now Rush in Amarillo for $290.00 out the door. Hope this helps., also the did the very same thing as previously stated with the tape and rope, only they used dielectric grease on the install.

You need to shop around. I just put two windshields in mine. $50 apiece and $100 cash for the guy to come to my house and put them in. They were TRP brand from my local Pete dealer.
