My company has a idle reductions system enabled on my prostar, which all that means if its a certain temp outside the truck will not idle for no more than 5 minutes.
Today I woke up and it was 86 degrees outside and my company said that the truck will idle if the temp is above 77 degrees. Well I couldn't keep it running for nothing.
So I come here asking, How can I bypass this sensor?

Find the outside air temp sensor and relocate it into a hot part of the engine bay would be the easy way to bypass it but be warned this may effect other systems that use outside air temp.

5 min idle shut down has nothing to do with any temperatures, it is part of 2010 CARB emissions. There is a way around it, you have to get the engine programming changed as if the truck has a PTO system. Then you can bump up the idle speed to what ever you want and it won't shut down either. This has to be done at an International dealer.

I run a prostar that is set up with anti-idle between the temps of 20 and 70. If im outside thoughs temps I have to wait for the engen shutdown light to come on and then step i my break till it gos off then im good to idle. If im in thoughs temps steping on my break wil just prolong the agony of not being able to idle. sorry about my spelling....im responding with my phone.

Where is this temp sensor located on the prostars?
-
Engine coolant temp sensor.

Try holding the break and hitting the "DISAB" rollback button on the dash at the same time.
