How much should one really be paying to have a ISX overhauled? Prices are all over the place, with people paying as much as 19k and as little as 8k. Also what kind of warranty should one expect from the shop doing the overhaul? Anyone recommend a good shop to do the good job at a fair price?

Are you over by the napa on Ecorse? -
The main reason for the wide range in prices is the parts you choose to replace or not. Believe it or not, but some consider an engine overhauled when reusing the original head and injectors. Pistons and liners only is a cheapy rebuild. If want to go all out you are looking at replacing the head/turbo/water pump/injectors/bearings and of course, pistons and liners. Obviously, the more parts you replace the more costly the rebuild will be.
