If I only have room for one gauge, either fuel pressure or restriction. Which is better to have? This is on a 6NZ C-15. Thoughts?
Fuel pressure or restriction gauge?

Whats the restriction gauge for, the air filter? If so go with the fuel pressure gauge. The air filter gauges aren't worth crap.

Les2 Thanks this.

Fuel pressure would be nice but I've never seen any of them last very long. (i.e. factory Pete) All of ours have fuel restriction gauges and seem to work well. Not really needed since I always change all filters at every oil change whether it's needed or not, but it will show if they get dirty.

I would go with the restriction gauge. I watch it all the time and it's saved me from dieing on the road when i saw it go up a few times. The fuel pressure guage at least in my truck bounces around like crazy and i can never get an accurate reading rom it.

Just as RBHT said:
Was running empty, so didnt need much power. Cold day and fuel was gelling up. Didnt feel it (yet) because wasnt using power, but restriction gauge showed it first. Pulled into next plaza and changed filter, problem solved. I have both gauges, but i would give up pressure gauge first... -
