There must be a little switch that is operated by the air pressure in the dash by the parking brake valve that needs to be replaced.

There were more than one DRL fuses, one ign. and one Batt. i pulled the ign. one out and they went off. Dont know what the other is for.

On most units it is, as was stated, the pressure switch, mounted with or near the brake release valve and pulling fuses will also shut off other things like cruise control. also if you rip and tear then someone else tries to fix it properly, it could cost you a lot of money, for them to find what you did, plus the original problem.

Here's my guess. Maybe it's like my van. The headlights don't shut off when parking brake is engaged while the engine is running. Engage the parking brake 1st, then start the engine, no lights. The lights don't come on till after the brake is released. Try shutting your engine off after parking, then restart it.
