pablo thanks for the link.one question I know you know your volvos.after reading all your post.my question is do you know anybody in the chicago area that works on volvos.no dealers please.I don't care about what they charge is that half of the time they don't do things the wright way.

I cant belive no one can help you with Volvo in IL, well, about your problems
IMO! You have VSS issue, what about speedo reading? at low speed? -
OUH! what a tranny? Manual? Autoshift? I-shift?
If tranny link to CAN is bad no speedo data on CAN, engine power is limited, transmission shifts in emergency mode.
If you have manual tranny VSS is directly connected to VECU with twisted pair. -
yes i have auto shift. so your saying my problem is with my trans.I was thinking of replacing it with a 13 speed and the only place I found that will do it is in pharr,tx. is this causing my engine to be giving me poor fuel milage.let me know were u work I might just take it to you.
-
With other trasmission VECU must be reprogrammed, VSS rewired directly to VECU, range behavior valve (preventing tranny damage) must be installed, VECU must be reprogrammed with PTT and Development Tool ore swaped from truck with manual transmission.
really it is a lot of work and not so easy work.
Ok, have you checked VSS, transmission for fault codes, J1939 wiring from TCU to truck CAN and have you checked wiring from "upper TCU" to tranny mounted TCU. Have you checked thin TCU power wiring in battery box for corrosion (and fuse for corrosion)? -
I can see no MID 130 issues.... may be really no power supply on TCU intermediatly....
-
how do i check for no power supply on TCU intermediatly pablo.do you think it could be the road speed sensor gone bad.I cleared all codes and after 3000 miles of driving I don't get any codes on ecm.check all wires and clean from rust.check fuse everything is ok.I still do notice that my truck is running bad.maybe the trans is going bad.I'm averageing 6.1 mpg.before i was averagening 6.8-7.0 loaded.thanks for the help pablo
