Check your fuses sounds like a short caused brake fuse to blow.
-
Fuses look good.....
-
Check and see if the pig tail has water in it at both ends if connected to truck that way.
-
do a quick disconnect of the pig tail and see if the tractor brake lights begin to work. if so it's either the pig tail or a trailer issue.
-
It has to be the truck...because still no lights with the pig trail unplugged from trailer...
-
might be the brake light switch. if im thinking right it is behind the plastic dash pieces behind the pedals. should be labeled saying what the switch is for as there is more than one. i would think the only way to check the switch is to make sure you have power to one post than apply the brake to check if power to other post.
-
Yea sounds like the relay switch. Behind the brake pedal
-
And be sure to use a light tester on the fuses, sometimes they" look ok but there not
-
Should have separate brake light switches and relays for tractor and trailer.
Brake lights will only operate with ignition key on.
Does the truck have a maxi or mega fuse panel under the hood?
