Hi. I have a 07 Pete 379, and looks it I am going to be needing to do an Inframe on my CAT C15. Does anyone know, how much it will cost me, if I were to go with the "Gold" kit from CAT? (How much are parts and labor?) Thanks.
Cost for C15 Gold Inframe?

Don't take this to the bank, I am just guessing here, but if CAT did the work, or any other large shop, I would plan for $30,000.
If the truck is a 2007 your probably still on your original radiator, clutch, air compressor, a lot of your major components are factory original most likely. While your doing an in-frame, I would replace the clutch, have the transmission opened up and checked, check the input shaft very closely, if you have any vibration at all, replace it.
Replace any and all fuel, oil, coolant lines that are easy to get to with the truck torn down. I would do a new transmission cooler too.
This is not the time to skimp, replace everything if you haven't in a long time, including the radiator, fan hub, you name it.
Why are you needing an in-frame so soon? The CAT engines that are pre-2008 are racking up a lot of miles with no problems. My old 2004 C15 has 1,600,000 KM (994,000 miles roughly) on it now, no oil usage, great fuel economy, and no problems at all.Truemac Thanks this. -
I know someone who had a platinum overhaul that cost $19k and some change out the door. 9.75% of that cost was TN sales tax, if you can have this work done in a state without sales tax on it go for it.
Tjackson4 Thanks this. -

A CAT platium inframe kit cost $11500.00 alone...
How so cheap?? -
My '06 C15 Acert was done by an independent shop using the gold kit and the kit it's self was $5,568.93 part# 10R9923. Total cost of the inframe including a reman head $11,961.46. $2400.00 of that was labor.
I agree though the platinum kit comes with stuff you probably don't need. -
cost was 3920.16

an inframe on a truck that's 5 years old with ?????? 600K miles?
Thought an inframe wouldn't be needed till 900-1,000,000 miles.
I can see a lower (bearings only) being done to it. -
