Back half of the transmission was just redone 18,000 miles ago. The trans is grinding from high to low. Tried both preselecting and going to the low side once the shifter goes to neutral : grinds both ways. My question is - Did I do something wrong to mess this up? If you think about it the transmission goes from hi to low basically by itself. What are some of your opinions? Was it not put together correctly? It was not put back with genuine EATON FULLER parts.
Hi to Low grind - 13 speed

synchronizer is bad, or when it was rebuilt if the bull gear that the synchro slides into was not replaced it could have eaten the syncro up. Or it could be just bad parts, either way its got to come back apart, and I highly recommend going back with eaton parts.

bull gear was not replaced. eaton parts for sure.

Synchronizer is bad

You might also check your air regulator pressure to the range valve. If the pressure is high to the range cylinder it will cause rapid wear to the syncronizer and heavy shift engagement.
