I work for a company that has 50 mxs and bxs engines. Most of them make a ping ping ping noise when running I talked to cat they say its normal. Its from the injectors putting torsional load on the cam. I chased this noise down for months I just came to the conclusion there right. Im not sayin this is your problem just food for thought. Does it get louder when compressor is loaded?
