I have a 6nz and am trying to improve jake. My MBN has much stronger jake. I put a set of MBN jake heads on and just made jake louder not stronger, I was wondering if I could put MBN cam in 6nz to improve jake performance to MBN level.
6nz jake versus mbn

What did you set them to? Lash has a large affect on holding power.

they are set at 030 and double checked

Does the MBN have higher compression pistons?
semicrazycanuck Thanks this. -
Yes I think the compression ratio is higher

Don't run the mbn cam won't get as good of mpg with it. And it has a little extra lobe on it for that extra shot of fuel for there emissions. The comp is a little higher in a mbn. Got both 6nz and mbn and both jakes are noise makers and that's about it. The mbn does pull a little better down low.

Switch the fan on if you need more.

yes I do turn fan on

Set the lash to .035, that will help. Jakes web listing says .037 but too loose will make the jake weaker.
