[h=2]I have no power in my 2006 western star tri axle with a 450 Mercedes engine.[/h]I have checked to see if it is the EGR's and that seems ok, Turbo has a bit of play but seems ok.
The truck just has no throttle response and loaded it is a real dog.
Does anyone know what could be wrong with it?
I have a lot of money in it and cant afford to put more into it..... or did I just get taken when I bought it?
Any help would be appreciated...

Have you pressure tested the charge air cooler? -
A tri drive with 450 hp won't ever be a strong truck regardless of engine make you use a fair amount of power just to move truck empty... Just letting go fuel it feels like jakes are on from all the drag.. My guess is you will have to get used to it or find a power upgrade for it

OP, You need to find a mechanic that likes Mercedes engines, there is a reason they are cheaper than every other engine out there for resale.magoo68 Thanks this.
