I purchased an Espar Hydronic SC with the Espar Easystart Timer.
You'd think two different companies made them lol. I have the unit all installed but ran into some wire color confusion between the timer and the heater. I don't want to toast anything so I haven't finished up the timer connections.
I have four wires coming from the heater going to the timer:
Red/Yellow
Yellow
Brown
Blue/White
The Instructions from the heater say the wire colors should be:
Red - "+" Batt power
Yellow - Switch control to heater
Brown - "-" Batt
Blue - Diagnostic from heater
All wires go directly to the timer.
There are 10 wires on the timer, the instructions say to hook them up as follows:
Red - to heater
Brown - to heater
Blue/White - to heater
Grey/Black - to IGNITION
None of the other wires are to be hooked to anything.
Simple eh??
I can figure the + and - for batt power but the other two wires are a bit of a mystery!!
If anyone else has run into this, how did you hook them up??
Thanks for the help

I guess not many folks run the Espar heaters. I'll give the manufacture a call.

Thanks for the reply Pablo!!
The heater control I have is the new style like this: http://esparparts.com/techsupport/p...Easy Start Timer/22_1000_34_15_05_EN_0613.pdf
It has a 5x2 pin connector or 10 pins total. All the older ones have 9 or 12 pin connectors.
