I don't get why a new tractor from Kenworth has so many problems from the start for example. Windows fog up and I have to drive with the windows cracked. The wiper blades and windows ice up easily and I have to make the cab hot as hell. The wiper sprayer is so awful. Mirror de fogger is pathetic. I can go on but you get the point. It would be nice if they would call GM or Ford and see how to fix some of these issues.
Kenworth needs improvment

Imho I believe is because they don't want to invest in developing trucks, they over charge on them crazily.
A bad muthatrucking $165k- kw w9 lacks more ergonomics and safety perks than a $19k Toyota camry. -
It isn't just the KW's. I have a Pete and have the same issues with the wipers and windows icing up. I guess that is just the way it is in the winter. Happens to my car as well. I wish they still had the fans inside that you can aim anywhere in the cab that you like. My 359's had them and they always worked great to keep the inside of the windows from fogging up. It seems that the engineers concentrate more on getting by with building a truck cheaper than they do on making it better. Some things improve, but overall I think they could put out a better product.

And how about locking fuel caps and hood as standard equipment ........
All the US truck manufacturers are a joke....Lucar, Milkman719 and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -

How about a durabrite type treatment for the polished aluminum fuel tanks....
And the frame paint from kw sucks bad...
Paccar.....Learn how to paint and clear coat the frame too... (Kw refuses to do this at any price from the factory)Lucar Thanks this. -

All the problems you mentioned are related to cold weather. Where do you think they design these things?
