Is this the Steering gear box which Freightliner is selling for $590 Reman or something else? Note.... it is leaking at every hose joint whice could be the clamps or something more serious inside gear box.

If it turns good in one direction only it is usually the steering sector. Jack up the front end, engine off. You should be able to turn the wheels lock to lock ,side to side, turning the steering shaft buy hand and or pushing on the tires without any tremendous effort. If nothing is binding it's probably the steering box, nothing else in the system cares which way it's going. Fix the leaks! It's steering!

Yea I'm almost certain that it's the Steering gear box. It's a former fleet truck and now has over 800,000 miles.
