KW recently introduced their version of the air ride steer axle; (Google Air Glide 130 for more info)
Its a "spring and a half" setup, with a leveling valve. Found out about this during the purchase of a 2007 T800. Saw some brochures on table in the salesman's office, and after questioning him about it, he looked it up and said it would cost me just under $1000. Don't know if he was giving me a "deal" to go with my new purchase, or what, but it sounded cheap. Looking at the brochure, it seems that you have to replace the stock spring pack with that spring and a half setup.
I had recently noticed a fairly new Pete 386 with the air bags on steer, and it seemed like it was equipped with the "normal" spring pack, but I could be wrong. I was told by the owner that it was a $1300 option from Pete, and looked like it could be fitted to just about any Rockwell steer axle without too much trouble. If I were looking to buy one now, I think I would check out this one, and if you can retain your stock springs, would be more comfortable with that vs the spring and a half.

The kit they use is from a company called loadshare. Its a proven product and a lot of trucks have put a lot of miles on with them on. Not sure how much 12 ga gets but 4 state sells the same thing. 379 pete kits is around $1100.00. That come with everything u need, thats what they told me anyway. I asked guys at louisville show every year for the past several years, everybody is happy with it. Only thing anyone said was to make sure u run shocks. Duh! Newer kits have 4 shocks to keep bounce to a minimum. These guys sayin its unsafe and crazy just worry a bit too much. If it didnt work we would hear about it. if u wanna look cool do it I say! People said diesel trucks would never work either! Haha!

YEAP I've been running this single spring with a bag on top for almost 5yrs. I've got countless number of friends that run the setup and NO PROBLEM....... Blackpipes said the way it's suppose to be at the end. If it was a problem u would have heard about it. Honestly I know of one guy out of Michigan that claims his broke. That was a while ago. Stand up Pete pulling a bull waggon. I do know there was some question on if that what really happen. Tuck was clean show class material! Like I said out of all the pep I know with this kit no problem. Brent's coustom trucks is a extremely guud place to luuk at. He can sell u a car hauler axe, double spring..one and half spring or single single. His work is awsome u will be blown away what ever he does for u!

Real stock market outside of the railroad to expand in the spring of the fund would be the best, but it would be necessary to move the drag link to clear the bag. Shock can cause problems with driving.

If I run any other tire other than a michlie than I have that problem.. One thing me and my buddy's do is change the steer tire every 50 to 100. Because if there any concern about something going wronG it that steer tire blown. And if it does it be more trouble than u like to deal with for a day. And as far as speed no problem. I also run road king shocks! And this year I'm running centramatic, no prob yet. And with the centramatic rides smooooooth!
