    ABS Fault Codes - Help

    2007 International 9400i Cummins ISX CM870
    I am getting these codes. I looked at other posted and found some information, but not the exact same ones.

    136:F10 SID002_A
    136:F02 SID002_A
    136:F07 SID002_A
    136:F14 SID001_A
    136:F14 SID002_A

    It also displayed code 128:F00 PID156_P I saw in another post that this "P" means inactive but it was for fuel timing. Can someone explain what fuel timing means.

    The fault read out in the LCD is basic info only. Some information is missing. Troubleshooting is not meant to be done by this read out. The 136 means the fault is being sent from the ABS module. F10, 02 and so on is just the fault number stored in the dash module. SID is the "subsystem identifier". SID 002 is the right front sensor. SID 001 is left front sensor. What is missing is the FMI number, which is the failure mode indicator, or how this fault is triggered such as a short, open or whatever. The "A" means the code is currently active. It is rare to have two sensors fail at the same time, or problems in two different sections of a system at the same time. You probably have a bad main connector some where. There is a main connector on the firewall on the left hand side near the bottom. The main ABS connector that goes inside the cab is here. The connector is black and round. Most of the wires going to it are in twisted pairs and coloured with white stripes. Water corrosion is common for this connector. It is a twist lock to disconnect and separate. Disconnect this and check for any green pins inside. If you find some, spray some good electrical cleaner, or even brake cleaner in there, blow it out nice and dry, apply some good dielectric grease, reconnect and retest.

    It is International, so really F is FMI, 136:F10 SID002_A= MID 136 SID 002 FMI 10.

    No, I don't think so. There is no FMI 14 for SID 002. I am going off of our International diagnostics straight from our websites. They say the F is just the fault number, not an FMI indicator. Regardless, a proper scan tool has to be used at some point anyway, you can't clear the codes through the dash. Is it only a basic readout, nothing more.
