DD60 oil pressure suddenly way up?

    Hello fellas. I've got a97 pete with the DD60 12. I decided to place new bulbs in all the ssh clusters today. I dont know if that had anything to do with this problem but my oil pressure suddenly spiked to 60. no warning lights but it does concern me. Any ideas where to trouble shoot first? Thanx

    I don't see a problem with 60 lbs oil pressure. I have 75 lbs. cold. 55-60 lbs. at road speed 65 m.p.h. 35 at idle when operating temp.

    Well I used be at 40, 45....20 at idle .now 40 at idle. Well thanx for the advise. Ill let her go on until she tells me otherwise. Lol

    Umm, on my 11.1 I have 38 PSI when its hot at low idle. Around 50-60 PSI at 1,000 RPM(fast idle) and road speed 60-80 PSI. Stop complaining. Sound's like it wasn't accurate. If your oil pressure was 20 at idle, you have serious issues or would have probably already had them. Relax, you're engine is fine. :)

    I had a C13 that did that. Turned out to be an O ring on the oil pressure sending unit had gone bad and they think some of the rubber got in to the unit.

    Well fellas, all I csn do is laugh. Like I posted, I had changed the bulb in that gauge and placed a larger led light in there. Turns out the larger bulb was bumping into the center dial. I changed the bulb to it's original size and wahlah! Problem fixed. Lol
