anyone have one???? did you make mods to the exhaust. WITHOUT actually modding the exhaust.
i'm not particularly thrilled with a hole that points to the ground so the exhaust hits the ground and spreads out around the truck. i'm sure the trucks around me don't like it either. craps gives me the runnies.
how some of them design engineers graduated is beyond me. cuz this HAS to be one of them DUMB ideas.

im in a 2012 660 and i run the weed burner exhaust and its pretty nice when your hauling a load of plastic pipe and you usually dont need the smoke tarp since you have the weed burner. I havent foudn one bad thing about it yet. also ive never had another truck give me a hard time for it and ive never smelled the exhaust or had a problem with it pointing to the ground
The Bird Thanks this. -
Not so much problem with the newer trucks, other than a truck trying to do a forced regen on the road with one and it doesn't take, looks like the rear brakes are smoking.
Schneider had the ambient temperature sensor attached where the exhaust from a weed burner kept it warm. that was probably one of the worst things I have heard about them lately. The Bird Thanks this. -
if you can't smell the exhaust. something is wrong with your sniffer.
my body don't like it. that's toxic that makes the plumbing very active. breath enough of it and the bathroom will literally smell like diesel. -
I had it on a truck I owned. On the plus side, quiet in the cab, and cheap to maintain, very free flowing. The negs, piss off your neighbor at a truck stop, soot on your wheels, and if you are ever on a dusty jobsite the cloud around you is horrible.

Why wouldn't you just change it to horizontal exhaust? -
I have one on my truck. I don't idle and I have never had a complaint.MJ1657 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the catch. -
i can't modify till the truck is paid for and i have title in hand. and it's my understanding that if the cap comes off. the exhuast insides burn up and get ruined.
i can't see how the exhaust is more free flowing. with a cap on the end and the opening only being 2 inches wide and 4 inches long.
and i'm DEFENITELY not seeing any fuel savings. -
