ok so after ripping my pigtail i experienced problems from my trailer clearance/marker lights not coming on the older trailers but on the new trailers they do. but the parking lights for the trailer dont stay on. signal works and brake lights but when have the lights on the back of the trailer is dead. so i changed the fuse still doesnt work. you really think its a relay?

it could be tons of things, could be a shorted wire tripping a breaker, improperly wired trailer, broken wireing. id start by unplugging the trailer and checking the end of plug on the tractor.

I hook 2001 wabash to my Volvo truck. Trailer had a short and blew my fuse in truck. They fixed short in trailer and replace my fuse but i still can't GET half of the Light working on trailer. They test IT and told me THAT trailer Lights Are fine. Problem is in my truck. When THAT fuse blew probably burn wire somewhere. Any ideas. Short in trailer was inside the box where u plug pigtail.

Check your plug with a test light. If it lights up according to this diagram, your truck is good. My guess is that the trailer has had some wiring wizards working on it and now the whole trailer harness will need replacing.

    Heavyd Thanks this.

The center post, marked auxiliary, should have power all the time. It's for the ABS.

Marker and clearance are one and the same... black wire.

Tail lights and license lamp are on the brown wire. They should be separately fused and sometimes each have their own relay in the fuse box. If both fuses are good, swap the relays and see if power swaps on the brown and black wires. If it does, you have a bad relay.
