brake issue on one wheel

    Got one wheel where the slack adjuster is actually loosening the shoes instead of tightening them. What would cause this? Everything except the drums have been on there about 10 months or approximately 100,000 miles and greased every 10,000

    Replace it with a new one, they wont last forever.

    Yeah, what he said. Slacks, like any other component, will wear out over time. That one just bought the farm a little earlier than the others.

    agreed replace it sometimes parts don't last as long as we expect. Personally even though it just the one wheel I would change both on that axle but that's just me I try to do things on a per axle basis myself.
