Both will be kept on the truck for use during my weekly inspection while I am on the road. The brake pedal depressor to be used for clutch adjustment if needed but most importantly, for checking brake adjustment and checking for small air leaks.
A small investment in preserving my safety ratings by staying one step ahead of a DOT inspection. 20140419_125116.jpg

I went from creeper to a sheet of cardboard. Easier to navigate upon these ever so smooth parking lots. Plus you can just chunk it in the dumpster. Nice dogbone though. I want to get that Little Giant Ladder for the trailer.

The bone has 5 inch wheels that will roll on dirt and crushed rocks without getting stuck. It will also roll over air hoses and extension cords.

We use Kauffman Stone Sled creepers becasue we need them as low as possible. They are a basic old school wooden creeper, but instead of wheels, they have a piece or formica glued to the botton to slid over pretty much anything and it's easy to replace if it wears out. They are very flat and easy to store in a truck.

You can make them yourself for pretty cheap. I didn't care for the Bone outside becasue the center drags and gets caught on uneven ground. Nice an smooth on flat concrete, but it sucked in gravel or soft ground. I also had some bad experiences with it in the rain. Even with a rain suit, I got soaked, it's like a bath tub and fills with water. The Bone also was a paint in the but working around jacks and jackstands in the shop because it was big.

I like the concept. If you needed to, how easy would it be to make a 360 degree turn in a dirt lot?

Also, will it fit between tandems?

Yes, it fits between tandems. I just measured one, it is 16" wide & 32" long. You can actually make them fairly easy as big or small as you want, there's not much to them. I have no trouble sliding around, I'm about 200 lbs. They have a slight arc to them, so spinning around isn't an issue.
