Add SC as one of the places that do. I was ready to go to US Xpress until she told me that. I was pumped. Now deflated. But I still have a chance at Schneider. Too bad about USX. Really wanted it.

The forced team is only in the slow freight areas.

And later this spring, the list will get shorter.

I have been with USX for about 4 months. I am happy. Mostly.... But sad to say it does seem that success and lifestyle enjoyment depends largely on who you draw as a fleet manager. An example. You do orientation and jump right on a trainers truck. Total of about 35 to 45 days average. I upgraded and immediately put in for home time. I figured Hey, been out for 45 days need to get home and see the kids, kiss the dog, pet the girlfriend (LOL, Yes, I really like my dog) My fleet manager sent me empty 175 miles home. The other three? Nope. You must WORK for 15 days before going home. Consequently, two of those three are no longer at USX. It's not all roses in the Red roof inn. But I like it. Just wish I was getting more money for the miles.

Good info Maxx, I always appreciate real info. Real almost always includes good and bad. My wife and I are both in training right now and lots of ups and downs but mostly very good. We both have great trainers who are very patient and conscientious. Great instructions and we are really enjoying the process. Orientation was great. The big downer has been availability of trainers. Everyone seems to wait. It took my wife almost three weeks to get a trainer. My training coordinator has called me regularly to make sure it was going OK and all of the USX drivers I have met have impressed me. I am sure there are losers out there also but I have not met them yet. Equipment is GREAT.

I wish I was running west. We might bump into each other. I have a group of friends, mostly new drivers that I speak to on a near daily basis. There are always a few new lessons learned that we share or something that one trainer covered and the others did not. Drop me a PM if your interested after upgrade.
    Good luck, Max
