    Orientation Information:


    • Orientation class is 3 full days.
    • Orientation pay is $58per day ( total of $174), and you get paid when you’re hired. The first $50 of your orientation pay is advanced onto your fuel card one you’re hired.
    • A drug test, physical and road test are required.
    • Everyone is required to complete a full 4 page application in orientation (even if a pre-application was sent before arrival).
    • You must quit current employment before starting orientation.
    • We must have your signature on a U.S. Xpress application before you can schedule for orientation.

    What to Bring to Orientation:


    • Your class A CDL. (The name on your license must match the name on you Social Security card.)
    • Your original Social Security card (no metal cards or copies).
    • Your certified original birth certificate
    • If you have any type of paperwork regarding self employment, unemployment or companies that are our of business, you must fax those documents to you recruiter before orientation. Bring the originals to orientation with you. These types of documents include DD214, tax returns business license, drug consortium, ICC number, W-2 forms, pay stubs, safety letters, etc. (If you have questions, ask your recruiter).
    • One week of clothing, bedding (including pillow), detergents, personal hygiene items and bath towels.
    • Cash for breakfast and dinner for the 3 days of orientation and extra cash in case of an emergency. (Note: If you’re disqualified from the employment process, you are responsible for your transportation back home.)
    • A voided check for direct deposit processing.
    • The name social security number and birth date of anyone to be covered on your health insurance. If you have any dependents on your insurance who have a different last name than yours, we require a photocopy of their birth certificate(s) or marriage certificate fro proof that you must cover them. Also, if you have a child who is 19 or older you must have proof of “student status” to put them on your insurance.
    • Your work history for the last 3 years, including month and year of employment and address and telephone number or the company. This will allow you to fill out your application in orientation.
    • A calculator, a Rand McNally atlas, a notebook and an alarm clock.
    • You must be in the hotel lobby at 6:45 a.m. the day of class so you can be taken to orientation.
    • We have 5 orientation locations. Please ask your recruiter for your location.

    were is the other 28%? forgive me if im explaining it wrong but 98% no touch

    No touch means you personally do not touch the freight. I know lots of drivers who actually have to unload the trailer

    i know dollar tree etc but i read it wrong 98% no touch meaning you go somewere they unload you and you dead head drop and hook is when you get to a terminal or something and just drop the trailer and grab another one correct

    Drop and hook is when you drop an empty and pick up a preloaded trailer. Like at fedex. As opposed to a live lkad where you back into a dock and they load you while you wait
