Would US Xpress be compatible with the things I'm looking for in a carrier?

I don't need home time like most folks, but on the other hand I need a more comfortable truck.

I'm pretty flexible, I wouldn't mind buying my own refrigerator but some carriers won't even allow that in company trucks.

    1. No APU
    2. Allows an invertor up to 1,700 watts
    3. No cam
    4. Trucks can have XM but you pay the monthly fee XM charges
    5. You can put a fridge in it
    6. You can drive the truck home but can't be cruising around in it when your home
    7. Can get you home when you need to as long as you don't live in a dead zone

I can live with the no APU as long as they can live with the idle %.

The ability to keep a fridge and inverter are my major points. I can't deal with those 12v coolers, and I need a way to recharge my laptop without hanging out in truck stops for hours.

    Thanks!

The only problem with the idle is the company trucks wont idle between certain temperatures. I believe its between 35 and 70 degrees.

Surely the high temp is above 70?

Not that I'd complain if it isn't!

Another question, is there a bunk heater?

My 2011 has no idle restriction.

You can stuff as much creature comfort stuff as you need. You just can't drill any holes.

Be careful about leaving the truck off if you are using an inverter. The batteries in the trucks suck. You will drain them quickly.

E-logs make it difficult to use the truck for personal stuff. It wi nliw your restart.

Yes on the bunk heater though I've never used it.

We use our bunk heater. Works really well.

We had at one point a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, electric burner/hot plate in our truck.

We idled during the summer & the company never said anything.
