Brandson, can you tell us your issues with US Xpress? I am considering them also...

 

They're not the worst. I'm rarely bothered, my miles are ok when I'm running otr. One of the largest problems is communication. But that's gonna be at most large companies. It's very frustrating staying on hold for an hour for a lot of issues. If you get someone's voicemail, j just hang up, they don't respond.
I'm in this for the money. Solo, the money here is much lower than other companies. Teaming is good money, but u find out real quick that you need a reliable partner. The company will find u a partner, but none of them have worked. Joined the company with a friend, he quit on our first load. Next one I was paired with got in am accident before I met him. A month later they gave me a fresh out of training student who only wanted the mandatory 8 weeks. Next assigned partner quit on the way to pick me up. I sat at a terminal 10 days before getting a running truck, and paired with another student. I think he's a crackhead. ..
You can do worse than USX, but if you're not teaming with a friend, you can do much better. I got a lot of checks for over 1000 gross, but too many that I found unacceptable for this work. Keep on top of your pay statements too...
I'm pretty negative right now, I just got screwed over pretty well for the last month, so take me with a grain of salt, but what I've said is pretty accurate.

 

I appreciate your input. Not everyplace is for everyone. I would feel the same if i had your experiences. I definitely do not want to team after my 8 weeks. There's nothing wrong with finding what's right for you. Good luck to you.
