I have a 2015 730 with a d13 and I shift.
What do I need to access my parameters to change the shifts, speed, rewards system? -
Hi Pablo, Do you know if this product http://www.simmasoftware.com/j1939-adapter-j1708.html would work for my 1995 Volvo d12a. I finally got this truck started but I have no throttle pedal(tps switch) response. So I am sure the best way to proceed from here is scan it. Let me know if you think that scanner may work for this purpose. It seems to be a reasonable price and I can use it for other trucks than just Volvo's. I very much respect your opinion. Thank You

not, but copy of Volvo adapter works, but I started my project of copy of 9998555 and I tested it on D12A, D12C, D13 and D12D.
It works well, really well.
So a bit later I wanna make a small party of adapters for salebenglebrick Thanks this. -
The first reason is that D12A wont supporting J1939, only D12C and later.
For diagnostics Volvo uses only datalink (from 1998 J1708/1587). J1939 is used as truck CAN, but not for diagnostics.benglebrick Thanks this. -
The brochure says it supports j1708/1587. Isn't that what I am looking for?
So then do you reccomend I buy a vcads pro or a 9998555? -
yes, but IMO chenese copy is too expencive, so I staterd my project.

Pay attention, that D12A datalink is not J1708, It differs a bit, no module ID.
Full SAE compatible datalink and CAN appeared in 1998. Pre 98 volvos differbenglebrick Thanks this. -
Ok so do you have any of those adapters for sale?
If not then does the 9998555 adapter or the vcads pro work for the d12a? -
really the only one is done
other is just board, I can put all parts on it but I need some tome to complete one more adapterbenglebrick Thanks this.
