I worked in RV service off and on for 12 years. We didn't refer to them as No Cold for nothing....

i have a 2001 Volvo 770 with the original Norcold Fridge installed that still works perfectly. All the "New Stuff" they make nowadays is pure garbage.
Newto Trucking and KB3MMX Thank this. -

When was the fridge manufactured? I had 2 that were made in '11 but this last one says it was made in '12 and it works fine. Does the fridge work ok when the truck is running?

My fridge in my 2013 was a pain, in and out by the dealer, replaced the batteries, nothin worked. I removed it and was going to take it to a refrigeration guy I know. I had it on my bench running off a power supply. I had pulled the wire out from under the ledge in the back where it is tied up and there is an inline fuse (.05 Chinese holder and fuse) in the wiring, and it was hot as hell. Heat is resistance.. So I removed it and replaced it with a good ceramic in line and a new fuse. NO MORE PROBLEMS!! Fridge cools awesome, stays cold all night, without the shore power plugged in. It's probably only seeing 8 or 9 volts after the resistance. It's a norcold part as Volvo has a fuse in the sleeper panel. I was going to just remove the fuse but decided to put another in just in case. So, if your having the same problems, it's warm in the am, doesn't stay cold unless the truck is running etc. remove or replace the inline fuse holder. It's hard to find if you don't cut the wire tie and pull all the wire out, you won't find it.
