We ended up buying a catwalk "stand alone" model Rigmaster with a "perkapiller" engine. It is fully self contained (except fuel supply) so there is no need to mount a condensor to the back of the sleeper. Most all engine parts are available from places like Napa. It is very easy to acess for servicing. We have about 700 hours on it and so far the biggest problem we have had is the cover vibrating. We modified it using pass thru grommets around the bolt holes and this seems to have solved it. It cost 9k installed and weighs around 350lbs.

Where did you purchase this, and is that really noisy? -
I just purchased a 2015 780 with a 231"wb In order for the TRIpac to fit they had to do some custom specing from the factory. First they said to put it on the driver side because the DPF ( passenger side) takes up more room then the batteries and def tank ( driver side). Then we had to shorten the driver side tank to 100gal and the passenger side is 150gal. Also I got the removable fairings so that you can access the TRIpac for servicing it. When you order removable fairings you can not get the chicken lights from the factory. Denver Volvo had to custom make the chrome and chicken lights after they received it from the factory. If you stretch the wheel base you would not have to do some of these things but I wanted my wheel base as short as possible. Also When you put the TRIpac on the driver side you have to run the HVAC air hoses across to the passenger side and tap into the factory HVAC system. The problem with that is that you loose a lot of the space in the under bed storage box. Just my experience, a better solution may exist.

I have a 2007 VNL 780 with D16 engine in it. I bought a 2008 Thermo King Tripac and installed it myself following the steps from the installation manual. The only thing I'm left with is how to connect the coolant lines. Reading from the manual I know the inlet and the outlet lines from the APU, but the problem is trying to figure out where they connect to the truck coolant lines. I bought to shut off valve so I can isolate the APU if need to and I bought the two Y splitters to split the lines. Can anyone here tell me how or where exactly they connect to, and which ones goes where. If you are driving a 780 with D16 and you have a Tripac, I would highly appreciate if you can post a picture of where the coolant hoses from the APU connects to the truck. Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Mine are on the coolant lines under the hood , under the air cleaner box from previous owners APU..

I had a picture, not great quality but hopefully gives you the idea where it is. It's the feed for the heater core.
The ports on the bottom are plugged off where they went to the apu.
