I am assuming this is an air valve. It is located on the fire wall near the top on the drivers side. I has multiple air couplers listed for suspension plus a has a big wiring harness plugged into it.
The barcode label it *20990668* with a date of 05/07.
I have an air leak on one of the couplers which I am believe is causing my airbags to go down with in a few hours after shutting off the truck and causing a low air pressure warning when I start up the truck.
Also would this have anything to do with the fuel system. The truck seems to miss only when under a hard pull such as going up hill. (I have started another thread about this problem)
What is this air valve called?

If I ain't mistaken it's called an Air Protection Manifold. All it does is let the air lines pass safely through the firewall with out rubbing holes in them. In other words it's metal tubes with plastic lines hooked on both sides. The wire harness though beside it has nothing to do with the air lines. They are being protected too as they pass through the firewall.
Pass through the firewall thingamajig is a good name, lol.
Write it up as pink air line passing through firewall is leaking or something similar. -
on some European models this manyfold is made of aluminium with brass tubes inside

dealer wiil tell you to replace the whole thing and its not cheap, instead just pull it out with pliers and replace the O-ring inside, that's what I just did on mine.
Cummimgs Trucking LLC, HopeOverMope, CruisingAlong and 1 other person Thank this. -
Pull out what? The plastic hose or the whole manifold? How do you replace the o ring?
-
You must be an OO. Just replace the line as it looks short and old from the pic. If you have some excess then just cut the end off. Then replace the ferrel that slides over the hose and it should reseal. If you have a hard time finding one Lowes and Home Depot carry them.luvtotruck Thanks this. -

Yes an oo. When you say ferrel are you talking about the metal collar that you push the hose into? I did not realize these could be replaced. How do you get the old one out?
-
to pull out tube u need special tool. Tool is like made of steel tube with thin walls cut in two pices with handle to punch it into fitting and ulock air line
But really these fittings are single use. So we use to drill holes and add fittings with cone threads, looks terrible (especially for DOT inspector) but works fine))) LOL -

I used to have the same problem. The whole plastic thing developed some hairline cracks and the orings were hardened and leaking also due to age. I just replaced the whole thing. The part costed 110 something.
It is easy to do it yourself. Finding the right size orings is difficult and don't recommend just replacing the o ring because the whole plastic piece is likely to have some hairline cracks that you can't see. Trust me, you can do it in 2 or 3 hours max. Most the info you need is in the post.
