Hello Guys, here i am again with a new problem on same truck i had low mpg. After sitting in cold weather, truck does not starts. First change new batteries since old were weak. Cranks but does not starts, used starting fluid, looks like it want to starts and when stop spraying engine stops. Now changed both filters spin on filled with diesel about 1inch from top edge, and the other with plastics cover. And again cranks but does not starts. Worked with the little thing next to spin on fuel filter to pump manually fuel, again nothing. Filled to top fuel filter (with plastics cover), pumped untill all the diesel from the it went low. Again nothing. Left key on for about 5 min to release air from the fuel system(a friend told me this helped him) and again nothing. My guess here is i have air in the system, or my pump does not works. Now i heard ved12 have a electric priming switch in the cab, where is this switch? And how should i check if pump works? But if it's bad and since i pumped it manually it should start anyway isn't?
ANy ideeas of what else it could be? Dash does not shows any errors.
Thnx!

open fuel caps shine strong light down in tank and stir fuel with clean stick, if it looks like its not gelling up,might be lift pump, should here it running on some year trucks. should run on can of starting fluid.

SOME Ved12 have electronic priming switch/button in the truck, not to sound smart but if your asking where it is, you may not have one it would usually be on the dash to the left of the air brake buttons. I think there was 3 switches that aren't used and the electronic fuel pump would be one of them. The problems you described on other topic were the same issues I was having before the pump went out. And over time it would be very hard to start(which I thought were the injector cups) Something(I can't remember what it was) was leaking fuel around the manual pump on the engine Try turning off the passenger side fuel port then starting it as crazy as it sounds it worked when I had similar issues.

Ok guys will check today both with fuse and pass side. Anybody of you heard about releasing a bit the spin on filter, pump manually untill fuel starts leaking, and tighten it back?

Last time I had this problem they found a chunk of ice in charge air cooler.
Before that when I worked for Swift a few years ago after like half an hour of trying everything road service guy pulls a fuse right above windshield washer fluid tank, plugs it back and it starts like a charm -
