Has anyone fitted clearance lamps to their mirrors?
I am going to fit white LED markers in to mine, what is the trick to dismantling the mirrors??

Must be a trick so you dont snap off the little plastic clips???

How are you planning to get power for those lights?

I thought nuclear may be over kill, solar may be a bit wanky, so i guess i will have to pull cable thru from the dash, via the flexi to the door and up the mirror stem the same way the mirror heater and motor wiring goes.

Unless it was an option and there are lighting or spare wires already up there...

    could i be that lucky?????

If you ever been in a boat at night with a spotlight it creates a night blindness because there is no hood blocking the first few feet of the beam. I would think lights that close to your head would have the same effect. I would try simulating the lights before the actual install to see if doesn't bother your vision. You might not like it if it has that blindness effect.

I would think them type lights would blind someone from seeing your clearance lamps.

Reference white lights height from the ground

That's just a couple random quotes from the regs. The DOT are real strict about lighting and markings, I would read over this rule real carefully.
