Hey guys. I have a weird problem with my truck.
Last month I blew my front right steer tire and broke my rim.
I got that replaced. After 2-3 weeks I noticed my truck vibrating violently. I figured it was thrown outta balance but that was not the case. I got it balanced and all wheels aligned. Same thing.
When I have my cruise set at 60 mph and it's just idling along its a minimal vibration. Once it has to do half throttle it's hard vibration. At full throttle no vibration.
Also when I'm at any speed and put it into neutral the vibration stops completely.
My steering wheel is not vibrating but my butt is where it's coming from.
Im really frustrated already at what to do. Please help.

!st things 1st always change FUEL FILTERS, then start with any CK. eng lights,CK. the drive/line (u joints) if greased at any time between oil changes,The ride High can make for funny vibs. sometimes, when all fails take it to the shop that made the eng. not truck dealer to have inject. CK for cut/out that might make at vibrate at times?
-
Checked everything that you listed up there. Everything is fine. I thought it was the injectors. Checked them and everything is fine. I have no clue what I need to do anymore.

Next the center rubber drive/shaft hanger 1/2 way down drive shaft, Air cleaner all mant. done at shop will tell them to look for prob. while doing it?
-
Drive shaft hanger replaced two months ago.
Air cleaner filter was replaced last fall.
It feels like vibrations coming from the back could it still mean it can be the engine itself? -
-
I would start with a three axle alignment, you might have bad king bin.
-
Another thing, check all the mounts, although the truck isn't that old. One thing a friend had a 379 Pete w/Cat motor, had a similar vibration, tried everything, finally an old timer mechanic said, check your harmonic balancer( big pulley at front of engine). Sure enough, replaced it, and fixed the problem.
king Q Thanks this. -
Thanks for your input so far guys
V6killer. By three axle alignment you mean a standard wheel alignment?
Also where are my kingpins located. Sorry I'm not a mech.
Semi retired. I will check on nut lugs when I get home.
We replaced 3 pulleys about half a year ago. I will check on that again.
Any other ideas of what it could be? Throw em at me
Thanks -
