Sudden shut off D12C engine while it was running with cruise control at 80km/h. 1100rpm approx. Like ignition key turning off. Only primary tank pressure low code is active.(MID144PID046FMI1) Cam and crank sensors inactive codes are 52 times each as most frequent fault code.
Fuel pressure is OK. We stuck how to start it? Please direct us to locate what is going wrong. Your help would be so appreciated.

Maybe check the fuses at the batteries, if one goes it will shut truck off.
-
check voltage converter inside ECM
-
I just posted this in another thread. Could be same problem
This happened to me. Nobody could find it. I can't remember why but I opened the battery box and found one of my nuts wasn't tight. There was a small wire also going to this terminal. Come to find out it was the power wire to the computer. I would go over a bump and the computer would reset and shutdown the truck for a few seconds. -
D12C is powered from cab with Fuel Injection relay.
Check wiring in fuel filter area, especially red/black wire and wight wire (2.5 mm2) running from cabin to engine wiring harness. -

yes, but usually engine jerks but keep running, becouse there is big capacitor charged for 90V inside ECM. If power supply goes low this capacitor lets engine runs for some seconds.
If voltage converter fails ECM stores fault codes for all six cylinders, u can clear codes but when engine stalls - u can see these codes again.
If no fault code and engine shuts off - check voltage supply!
Check for all stored codes, may be engine protection was actuated!
What year is the engine? after 2002 they introduced D12D and it has crankcase pressure sensor - additional sensor for engine protection! -
Truck produced on 2001 So engine has no crankcase sensor then. Most suspected is may be engine protection is being actuated. Because fuel pressure is ok, voltages are measured on some pins of engine ECU and vehicle ECU. (Coolant temp sensor, termination resistor etc) Good cranks but no smoke from exhaust pipe. (only pressured air comes out. no smell and no blue or black smokes) I am pretty sure that there is no power supply on injectors however i have not checked yet... I have checked Termination resistor with swapping same resistor on another truck. Another truck was started after for a bit longer than normal crank. On my truck was no differ. Then i checked as 0.75 mm violet wire runs from the pin number 4 of Vehicle ECU called as SHUT OFF OVERRIDE has no voltages. Also 0.75 mm red and black wire runs from the pin number 27 of Vehicle ECU called as EMERGENCY STOP has 12.5 Volts. Both measured when starting switch on driving position. Should they be measured so as normal or is it abnormality? Please explain how the engine protection works and what are their functions of Forced IDLE, SHUT OFF OVERRIDE, EMERGENCY STOP pins from Vehicle ECU? Also what is the best way to check if there is voltage supply?
All 6 injectors has inactive fault codes as mechanical and electrical and unknown. How can i disappear inactive codes from the display. Because there is a message after many inactive fault codes says something as FAULT CODE OVER FLOOD! Does it means there are more codes but no space for shown?
