I have a 2011 volvo 780 with a cummins isx, it has two problems currently. the codes I have been able to find are mid 128 pid 102 fmi 2 and mid 128 pid 411 fmi 0.
I know what they are, but my question is this, can the 102 boost pressure code cause the 411 egr code? the boost pressure started randomly throwing an active code this week. it didn't seem to do much really other than lose hp. the check engine light would go off then it would act fine. today the 411 showed up and now it's acting worse. when the check engine light goes off though, it acts more or less fine again.
current symptoms, idle is erratic, pulling hills is a slight hesitation, and regen is acting up. it's almost as if it has the hiccups. the regen comes on after most check engine lights go off. parked regen is impossible until the boost sensor is fixed I'm assuming. it won't do it at all. still the coincidence of the codes happening at the same time are what I would like to know. we have an appointment to get this resolved somehow also.
thanks in advance
