I have a 2005 volvo with d12. Every time I hit a bump, my dash lights and radio go off. The gauges still work just the lights. Also, i get the check climate control module warning pop up on my screen that goes away almost immediately but returns just as fast. I know its a wiring problem but does anyone know if there is a certain wire in there that is prone to doing this that I can check. Is this a common problem. Thanks to anyone who can help
dash light issues!

Easy way to find it, trace power wire to radio back to where it joins dash lighting, if it does, is your radio on key switch, are we talking dash Guage back lights or map lights? If map lights it should be pretty easy (again depending on how hard it is to break into dash to do the trace, no clue on volvo, the Petes n kenworths I've used were really simple to get at)

By never, you mean unless you turn off key right? If that's the case, you could begin your hunt at ignition switch

Subscribed....the lights in the right hand gauge pod on my 02 VHD (also a D12) have a mind of their own....and when the go out, my fuel gauge goes on holidays....

I think I might be taking it to Volvo. I have something really wrong now. Now my voltage gauge fluctuates from 13.4 to 11.0 back to the 12's. turn signals quit working, headlights real dim. cleaned battery cables and still have that problem. had the alternator checked and it read 13.8 volts running while my gauge said 12.4. batteries also read 13.8 while running. I even unplugged my radio to make sure it wasn't shorting out but it didn't change. its weird, if the voltage gauge reads over 13 volts, everything is fine. once it goes under 12 volts, everything starts messing up. Im gonna clean the cables on the starter and see if that changes anything. if not off to Volvo I go.

Had similar crazy electrical problems with mine, ran a NEW 2ga ground wire directly from battery to a ground stud on front of cab under hood and it completely fixed it!!
