Hi guys I need your help. I have to remove my harmonic balancer. Its probably rusted on and I heard using a hammer will destroy it. What is the best way to remove it?

Do I remove radiator, intercooler, fan assembly first?

Do I need a special press tool to remove or install?

Usually some good soaking with penetrating oil and working a pry bar from behind at different angles will work it off the crank. I personally prefer to remove as much as I can when dealing with work that requires the dampeners removed. Doing so allows you take advantage of the extra room to do the tedious jobs while you're there. IE front seal, front motor mount, gear cover seals, etc
