So I am finishing up my reset and thats all fine and dandy but dispatch called me and wondered if I can pickup a load at Midnight eastern time and deliver it by 7AM the next morning, Forgetting its 360 miles to NC and that Its 50 miles in DC traffic to pick it up... I told them yea right, so they told me I will get the same load tomorrow night, so I said OK.. haha... Thing is its 400 miles, and its gotta be there in 7 hours, lets do some basic math here 410 / 60= 6.8 hours, this is assuming that the load is already loaded which I doubt it and this also assumes that I will average 60 mph down the east coast... which I also DOUBT.... So whatever if I get there late not my fault, I already told em I think its not very doable with such time constrants.. I mean they tell me pickup the load at midnight, I doubt its loaded. thats an hour right there of waiting around.

Atleast I got to see DC today, did some museums, and the outdoor memorials and stuff. Gonna get some dinner tonight get some light sleep then sleep hard in the truck in the morning.

06/02/10 -- In Hesperia, CA at the Pilot waiting to deliver tomorrow AM in San Bernardino. Never had to sit it out at a CA truck stop so close to home....forgot about the stupid anti-idling law and it's 88 degrees....but most of the trucks are idling anyways....I did for a while, then cranked the windows down..a fairly nice breeze....

06/04/10 -- Home!! After I delivered yesterday, I dropped the trailer at Burlington Coat DC in San Bernardino and bobtailed to the SFS shop, hopefully the "mechanics" can at least fix the possible exhaust leak and get my APU running. For my loss of power, apparently I need to be routed to Missoula, as they can run checks there that the SFS crew cant do..WTF?? It also may need to go to the Volvo dealer, and it's apparently cheaper in MT to do that...
