My Experiance with Watkins Shepard!

Yea I got like 5 hours of sleep lol I was soo nervous this morning, but so far everything seems good....ALLOT of info to take in and Memorize

so, I went out to my truck this morning to warm it up, and a Watkins Shepard truck pulled in.....so I was like oook...and shut my truck down and walked over to the crowd out in front of the lobby and it turns out they come to pick you up. So for any future W/S drivers THEY WILL PICK YOU UP EVERY DAY at 7:30am. Anyway so we get to the terminal all 13 of us and we had 2 no shows lol. We got our books lots of them lol. Everyone seems cool, Tim,RL, and the other two I can't remember there names lol. We went to the truck stop twice today once for lunch and once to cash our T-Checks and for the guys that didn't own a map to get one lol.

We lost one guy so far, his family called his brother had died so he left, and will be able to come back whenever he's ready.


I did the air brakes/CMV basics/logs test. And thats about all we were able to get done today we had allot of people some of which needed physicals and drug tests. And because of which when the terminal manager came in with two loads that needed delivered here in NC one at 1am and one at 5am,Tim had to turn them down unfortunately) because I would have been the first one to volunteer to go for the ride..


Hopefully we can catch up, the terminal manager said "we need drivers NOW!" lol I sure hope I can memorize all this info.


So one day down nine to go!

OH I almost forgot, I met Crfingnutz he's a member here, his in my class. He's the guy that was supposed to be Chris's roommate lol

as much fun as this is, I really do hope these 10 days fly by! this is very nerve wracking not knowing if I have a job, I haven't been unemployed in a LONG time and my last day at my old job was last Friday and theres NO WAY I'm going back there lol but I do have bills (Rent, etc) so I will be royally screwed if I don't get hired lol

so it's 11PM the night after my first day in orientation and my roommate and I just finished ALL the test in the Binder!!!!! lol
