real that's what I don't get the only thing I can understand is if you open up the doors then the packages can fall if the loader didn't load it correctly *about 70% of the times they don't* & boxes or items can just coming down from the top smacking you in the face that's why I brace myself with the load stand to make sure I can reach to the top & unload correctly from the top to the bottom.

The driver has to cut the plastic and un-stack it by hand onto freight rollers and roll it out the back of the truck to the store employees. -

Whole pallet loads can fall on you doing this , they're stacked two pallets high to the ceiling ,sometimes a small ladder/stool is required to reach the top and I've had a pallet tip on me while I was on the ladder knocking me over onto the rollers and floor.
We had drivers knocked out of the truck onto the ground and injured while I was doing this job. -

Y2k you talking about items that's stacked double the standard height and they used shrink wraps to holding them and once the shrink wraps get cut open they start falling like a avalanche because the items wasn't stacked properly

I've even seen pallets fall out of the truck when the doors are opened! -
I did Family Dollar for a couple weeks on a volunteer basis a few years back..Its HARD work especially in the summer. I went to several stores that took the whole truck, fingerprint 40k lbs, 2500 pieces, 2lbs to 50lbs boxes and your spent. Id be soaked to my underwear and out of hours unable to leave,it sucked.. One store the unload was uphill so i had to get the rollers full then push the freight in, it sucked. Several stores in the ghetto took all #### day, the store employees taking a break every 15 minutes, rollers always full, i have to wait to put freight on, with 3 guys running around like stooges, couldnt keep up with an old trucker..sheeesh...not worth what you get paid no how!

lol chris you just had the taste & glance of unloading 1 truck in a day in the summer time. try unloading about 6 of them from 3-11pm in the summertime or do it from 4pm-8pm & wow y2k I never seen opening trailer doors pallets fallen out. thats crazy. my another employee kind of gave me a hint for conserving time so you can driveout he told me hell remain off duty but when he got 1 hour or less remaining hell then put on the Qualcomm unloading so this way hell have time to drive out. cause I was telling him I was thinking about how can I beat the odds to conserve time & I told him that's a pretty good #### idea imma use that
