becareful and do your research. Werner hires students, as well as USA Truck and I think, US Express. but simply do some research and make some calls and talk to the recruiters. Good luck to you.

Well; recruiters are not your best source for the truth...

I've heard and read alot of bad things about werner. The only way to know would be to sign on and experience it. Just from reading posts one can never really find the answer to their questions.

Everyone has to start from somewhere, not everyone is going to like how they are treated. But thats a part of life. Learning and experience. Life is just too short to be complaining about the little things. What matters is Family and how one is going to provide for them.

It may not be funny now, but one will look back on life's experinces and laugh. Imagine, some 30 years from now and some young trucker asking you the same question you are now. You'll probably laugh and say "been there done that".

DD,of course I had to. Honesty isn't always the best policy. What I'm trying to say, I'm quite sure what happened to others did as they say. For whatever reasons no one can really know.

At my present job, it seems they are trying to phase out the old guard. Why? Who knows. In my opinion someone who has been working at a particular company over a x amount of years is by way far a more experienced plus better employee.

If it's service that counts, why not the senior man? He's been doing it longer and probably better than the newcomer. But in reality companies could care less about the employee and the customer. It's all about the almighty dollar!

If anyone here owned or even ran a multi million dollar company. How would they run it? I'm curious, be truthful. Take care of your employees and lost profit. Minimize costs and jeopardize employee relations take stay in business. What will it be?

We can hear all the talk but in reality, the dollar controls our actions and treatment of others. This is wrong, but then agin we don't live in a moral world. It's survival of the fittest. Eat or be eaten. Think of it, animals don't even treat their kind the way humans do.

im doing just fine working for werner. I was told i would make a sliding scale pay between 26 cents and 46 cents per mile depending on lenght of haul. Well, im making 25 cents per loaded mile and 15 cents per deadhead mile according to my paystubs. But im getting 3500 miles per week. Doing great. I just run my hours out every day no matter what. If im running very early i split or swap the load. If im really low on my 70 i deliver split or swapped loads so i can still make money.
