I really wish this thread was docked. Just the stuff that Advice123 said. He/She gave an insight to recruiting at a "mega". And the truth is, that's where many new drivers will end up. A mega. I was thinking about this the other day. We are a weird industry. Most people work at a place and can't wait to get to that next plateau. An IT guy dreams of Microsoft or Apple calling him to work there. A wrestler can't wait to get on with the WWE. Football players are looking to be drafted by the big NFL teams. A lawyer wants to work and hopefully become a partner at a big law firm in the city. I think you get where I'm going. In trucking, it's quite the opposite, with the one exception of drivers thinking about driving for MalWart. It's better to be at a smaller company where the earning potential is greater with a better work environment. Only in trucking.
But reading the words of the former Western Express recruiter, one of the last posts was "My conscience is now clear". He knowingly fed you lines of dog crap that were encased in gold plating. Caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware. You, as the recruit, are kind of the buyer, along with the recruiter of course. Always do your due diligence when applying to any company. Their job is to get you in that seat; and do whatever it takes to get you there. You've got the greatest tool at your disposal: The Trucker's Report. Thousands of us experienced hands giving you FREE advice, and good advice at that.
Last thing on the soapbox here. Western Express hires bad drivers. Some which can't work other places due to their own doing. This right here should make you wanna stay clean, CDL clean too, and do the right things so you don't have to work there. I get some people have to have a "second chance" company because of indiscretions. But think if you didn't have to go to a Western Express or a Carolina Cargo or Buell! Stop racing to the bottom and start reaching higher to make more money and live a better life. You can either work to survive or work to live. Me? I work to live. And so can you.Blackshack46, jhorrice, TB John and 1 other person Thank this. -

I think it's nice whenever anyone tried to help people. Whether this one is a scam or not I can't say. I don't need to be a truck driver with 30 years experience to think that. Just saying ... I know someone is going to get on me for this, but you can trust SOME people. This is still America.

You can run well for us in North Carolina and get home most weekends. Our average gross pay per week is $1,000. We offer Blue Cross insurance after 30 days. We pay 27% which averages .48 for all miles. We hire experienced flatbed drivers and treat you well.

Alabama is a good state for us and you can usually get home on the weekends. We pay 27% per load which averages .48 per mile on all miles. This is a very good company to work at.
