Western Express appears to be a second chance for truck drivers the thing is all I want is a chance at all. I have a FL driver license and they want me to attend orientation in TN Nashville I'm okay with this but my roommate from Tennessee says even though I have a valid Class A from Florida and Fl is my state of residence but I will be expected to cough up 300 dollars to switch my license over to the home location of TN, something the recruiters have said nothing about. What I really NEED to know is how much money should I bring for their proposed 2 day refresher course if they are offering me a motel AND meals to be served there? what's the truth that's all ask.

You don't have to change your drivers license unless you make a permanent change of personal residence from one state to another.

thx for the quick reply. Do you also happen to know how much cash I should have on hand?

China is right. Spend money to make money.

I can assure you that you could not spend $300 at a Tennessee DMV if you got every endorsement plus a hand gun permit. Liscences are cheap in the volunteer state. A 5 yr renewal cost me $56.

Thank you for your constructive input I didn't ask about that specifically but it does clarify the question in the minds of anyone that reads this thread.
