Ukumfe and The Challenger Thank this.

Looks like they took the western out of the star. Probably inevitable though since they were pretty much the lone aero holdout. Still better looking than most of the aeros now though.
-
Yep I want one. better looking than the bubble looking aeros out there. Its a good design compromise trying to keep the traditional Western look.
-
It'll look a lot better without the top fairing. I also want to see one without the skirts. Put the 82" dinette sleeper option on it and you have a Volvo 780 killer. The hood looks way better than the 4900SB and it has headlights from this century. I had to take out 10 screws to replace a single headlight the other night on my 4964ex.

As a fan of Starcars, I'm still not sure I like this one... But its definitely better looking than some other manufacturers aero models. I have to wonder just how it'll compare to the others in terms of fuel efficiency

A Volvo killer was born from western star. Sadly they are not available with cummins.
semi retired semi driver Thanks this. -
I can't edit a title, so if a mod sees this it should read 5700XE, not EX.
Nice to see cab-mounted mirrors on something besides a Kenworth. I also like that they moved the trailer brake from a column stalk to the dash. Looked like a wiper stalk otherwise. I wonder if an "Optimus Prime" bumper will be available. Oh yeah, and that's about the best steering wheel I've seen in a car or truck.
Does anyone have experience with the on-board tablet? It started to get installed in Detroit-powered Freightliners earlier this year.25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
Western Star has had the Mekra cab mounted mirror option since the mid-2000's. They moved the trailer brake to make room for the auto trans shifter on the column, and I do agree with you on the steering wheel.

I hope that option will be there for the stick shift then. Thanks.
