I have an interview coming up with YRC Freight in the San Francisco terminal and have some questions about this place. This is for a city driver position.
-OT after 8 hours or is it 40?
-What health plans do they offer ? Kaiser insurance?
-realistically how many hours per week is this gig?
-is this going to be a wait by the phone and beg for hours kind of deal? What kind of stability can this place offer?
-how is management ?
-what kinds of clients do they serve ?
Thanks.

Also what's the hiring process like? What's the road test consist of ? Are they laid back or extremely strict ?

I heard commiefornia made it law that you get ot after 8, thus ending the 4 day work week that some previously had. But does that apply to trucking......oh sorry Im not helping...

Thanks to a federal exemption , I have never seen a cent of overtime in my 60 hour work week

i believe it was blue cross blue shield, and they pay for it
imusuallynhad from 50-55 hours per week when I did city
there was no call ins. We had to be in by 8am. At times I would have to go home. If I walked 10 times in the whol year that was a lot. BUT if someone was late you got to work and they went home.
management is clueless but that in general everywhere
they serve everybody
hiring process takes a few weeks but not crazy
road test is different everywhere
they are laid back -
